About Cameron Little
I work, play and live in Monash, and I care deeply about the communities that make it what it is, especially South Oakleigh and Clayton.
These are suburbs with strong character, diverse cultures, hardworking local businesses, community groups that quietly hold things together, and sporting clubs that bring people from all walks of life together. They’re also areas that traditionally havent allways gotten the attention or representation they deserve.
My decision to get involved in local government came from spending time in these communities and seeing both their strengths and the gaps. I believe council works best when it reflects the whole city, not just parts of it, and when decisions are shaped by people who genuinely understand the areas they represent.
I care about practical things — local sport having the facilities it needs, community groups being supported rather than buried in red tape, and small businesses being able to survive and grow. These aren’t abstract ideas; they’re the everyday things that make a suburb feel connected and livable.
Outside council, my background is in health and community services, and I’ve spent much of my working life supporting people through complex challenges. That experience has shaped how I approach decision-making: listen first, stay grounded, and focus on outcomes that actually make a difference.
As a councillor, I aim to be approachable, present, and honest. I want people to feel comfortable getting in touch, sharing concerns, or simply having a conversation about what’s working and what isn’t.
